Call for Papers - Industrial Policy

Economia Internazionale/International Economics is a quarterly peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Institute for International Economics of the Chamber of Commerce in Genova (Italy). It aims at encouraging and disseminating high quality research, which can be relevant for the Italian and the world economy.

The Review is inviting paper submissions for an issue on

INDUSTRIAL POLICY

After over three decades of neo-liberal non-interventionist policies harsh realities put back industrial policies in the forefront of research and policy agenda. Astute intervention in the form of industrial policies is regarded as a promising policy tool to manage challenges such as pandemics, ruptures in global value chains, energy crises, transition towards the 'green economy', artificial intelligence, endless sanctions and trade and other wars.

Guest Editors:

Prof. Miroslav N. Jovanović - Global Studies Institute, University of Geneva, Switzerland  (Corresponding Editor)

Prof. Richard Lipsey - Simon Fraser University, Vancouver, Canada

The objective of the studies presented in this issue is to contribute to the ongoing debate and to inform policy action in this highly relevant and rapidly evolving field. In particular, the Journal welcomes theoretical, empirical, and policy-oriented research papers that advance our understanding of the design, implementation, and impact of industrial policies across different contexts. Comparative analyses, interdisciplinary approaches, and contributions offering novel conceptual or methodological insights are especially encouraged.
